IT Customer Strategy and Success
Rachael Chambers has over 18 years of experience with top companies in the Silicon Valley. She joined Cisco in 2004, and in 2007 assumed the role as Program Manager for Executive Sponsorship. The program partners top executives with key customers and is part of Cisco’s Global Accounts. In 2010, SAMA recognized the Executive Sponsorship Program, as “Best in Class”. Additionally, her career includes tenures at Google, Excite, Netscape and MCI. In 2012, Rachael joined the Cisco on Cisco IT team as a Program Manager, leading the IT Advisor Program and other customer facing efforts.
Rachael is an Advisory Board Member, Master Instructor, and Guest Lecturer for the UCSC Extension in Silicon Valley Administrative and Executive Assistant Certificate Program. Her passion for teaching has always played a key role in her career. She is a mentor and has participated in teams and committees focused on furthering careers and job development.
In May 2008, Rachael was named by the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal as a “40 under 40” recipient for her work both at Cisco and at UCSC Extension. She was also recognized within Cisco in Q2FY09 as a “Golden Globe Winner” for her work on the Executive Sponsorship Program. Golden Globe winners are chosen based on their work to support a faster, seamless, global, and virtual “One Cisco”. She was also recognized in Q4FY10 both by IT for a “Customer Strategy and Success Above and Beyond Award” and by Services Marketing for a “Special Mention” award. In 2013 she earned the CITS Partnership award for her cross-functional partnership in IT.
Rachael holds a BA from the University of California at San Diego. She and her husband Tim, have two children. An animal rescue advocate, Rachael also volunteers for 2ndChance4Pets.org, is an avid photographer and long time San Jose Sharks hockey fan.
